My trial search topic is right to choose. This is a big debate going on between people from the pro-life view and people who believe women should have the right to choose. This is a topic that has many sides and there are multiple ways to view it. Some people believe that even an unborn child has a right to live however this is not protected in the 13th amendment. It states, "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside" (13th Amendment Link). In this amendment it clearly states all persons born which means an unborn child technically has no rights until he or she is born. On the other side people believe that a fetus is considered a human right at contraception. This debate has many factors that can pull you in either direction mainly based on personal opinions.
One thing I am confused about is some of the reasoning behind pro life representatives and if there is fact behind some of the strong comments I have found from both sides. I have already found a few disturbing pictures however I am finding it hard to believe that they are accurate because the facts don't match up with the pictures. I also don't understand why it is a political issue other than it could be considered murder in the eyes of certain people.
